Mark Jessop

CEO

Mark has had a commitment to supporting people to engage in their community since early in his career. As a psychologist he worked in employment services and supported people to enter award wage employment.

Mark joined Nexus in 2013 and has overseen the growth in supported living services, and the development of new programs across all of our services.

In addition to the disability field, Mark has also managed youth justice services, child protection and a business consulting firm giving him a range of experience that he brings to his role as CEO.

Areas of professional interest:

  • Growing services that enable the rights and responsibility of people with a disability
  • Ensuring staff have the skills they need to deliver high quality service
  • Developing organisations that work efficiently and allow staff to focus on client needs
  • Creating environments where clients can have safe and rewarding experiences that help grow their capacity.

Areas of personal interest: 

  • Gardening
  • Local history and renovating
  • Living a simple and sustainable life on his property.

 

 

Adrian Scott

General Manager - Operations

Adrian is one of our longest serving staff members, having been with Nexus for over two decades. He started in direct care roles, then moved into roles in program management, systems development, human resources and training.

In 2020 he was promoted to the role of Chief Operating Officer, retitled General Manager Operations, and has made a big impact in streamlining operating processes across the organisation. This has ensured that both staff and clients are receiving the support they need.

Areas of professional interest:

  • Using Person-centred approaches to understand our clients’ support needs and deliver the services they want. 
  • Developing systems that are user friendly while ensuring that services are delivered in a compliant, safe, fun and effective way. 
  • Using technology to better plan, monitor and understand our services to know that we are effective as an organisation. 

Areas of personal interest:

  • Sharing my passion for fly fishing by teaching others. 
  • Playing the guitar and writing, recording and performing music.
  • Propagating my own plants to grow my garden. 

 

Matt Cook

General Manager - Finance

Matt joined Nexus in 2021, bringing with him a wealth of experience in the disability sector. Since arriving, Matt has grown and solidified the Nexus Finance team and is keeping the organisation on course for continued financial growth.

 

Areas of professional interest:

  • Creating streamlined ways for staff and clients to access financial support
  • Providing clear and transparent finance reports to all Nexus stakeholders
  • Growing the skillsets of team members

 

Areas of personal interest:

  • Travelling
  • Cycling
  • Hanging out with his labradoodle

Annette Clark

General Manager People and Practice

Annette came onboard in 2021 as our first General Manager People and Practice to oversee our people, culture and quality team.

With over 12 years experience working in the not-for-profit sector Annette brings a very personable approach to the role, enjoying getting to know staff and clients and celebrating their successes and supporting them through challenges.

 

Areas of professional interest:

  • Finding the gap in services and working out ways to deliver them more effectively
  • Building strong relationships with both staff and clients
  • Coaching and mentoring staff

 

Areas of personal interest:

  • Travelling around the state in the campervan
  • Spending time with family
  • Hanging out with her gorgeous husky dogs

 

Jackie Gregory

Manager - Customised Employment

Jackie joined Nexus in December 2014 to create the Community Services (CS) team. Jackie had previously worked in the industry in a community access area with a focus on, and passion for, inclusion particularly in employment.

The opportunity to create a new division of Nexus arose in 2020 and she now heads up the Customised Employment (CE) team.

Areas of professional interest: ​

  • Supporting clients and staff to become as empowered, skilled and independent as possible with the support they require
  • Breaking down barriers and pre-conceived ideas in the community for people with disability
  • Innovation and finding ways to turn a ‘no’ into a yes!

Areas of personal interest: 

  • Playing music
  • Supporting the Jack Jumpers Basketball club
  • Crafting, crafting and crafting

 

Beck Bewley

Manager - Complex and Individualised Support

Beck joined Nexus in April 2019 to manage our newly created Complex and Individualised Support (NCIS) team.

Beck brought to the team an ideal combination of extensive hands-on experience in the disability and community services sectors, and experience in senior management roles.

Areas of professional interest: ​

  • Supporting people, both clients and staff, to reach their personal goals by providing an open door policy
  • Identifying gaps in services and the opportunities that these bring
  • Continuous improvement – always looking at what could be done differently and sharing stories and learnings between team members

Areas of personal interest: 

  • Making homemade jams, chutneys and relishes from home grown produce
  • Spending time with family and friends
  • Enjoying music and comedy movies

 

Catherine McNeice

Manager - Community Service

Catherine has had an outstanding career progression during her time at Nexus.

She initially joined Nexus as a support worker with our Capacity Building team in 2015, then became a Team Leader, Assistant Manager and is now Manager of Community Service.

Catherine brings with her a passion for building capacity, independence and employment opportunities for people living with disability.

  • Creating a supportive team culture

Areas of personal interest:

  • Watercolour painting
  • Cooking
  • Creating an edible garden in her backyard

 

Louise Sullivan

Manager - Supported Living

Louise joined Nexus in July 2022 to manage our largest team, Support Living.  Louise has worked in the disability sector for 14 years and has had a combination of State and National Management roles in this time.

Louise is known for the passion she brings to her role and for being client focused.  Louise also wants to bring out the best in her team and enjoys working with them to ensure that our participants live safe and happy lives.

  • Doing yoga which she has been practicing most days for over 15 years
  • Gardening
  • Adopting and caring for greyhounds
