Upskilling our Team – Project Management

At Nexus we place great value on making sure that staff get the training and development they need to build strong and rewarding careers in the sector. This is one of the key reasons why our team love working for us – it’s always nice to have a workplace that is as invested in your career development as you are!

Last week team members from across Nexus took part in a one day workshop in Project Fundamentals with Glen McNeil from the Institute of Project Management. It was a fantastic session and a number of staff are now going on to do the Cert IV in Project Management.

Every year we put our staff through mandatory training in areas such as first aid, medications and manual handling which help them deliver the best support to clients.

We also encourage staff to take up opportunities to get additional qualifications in a relevant area including Project Management, Community Support, and Leadership.

At Nexus, supporting our staff to succeed has been a key part in building and maintaining the skilled and dedicated team we have today.
