With his joyous smile and adventurous spirit, Billy set the tone for Autumn activities at Nexus and is the cover star of our Autumn Nexus Ink.

Billy was lucky enough to take part in an assisted surf experience, through the volunteer-run Disabled Surfers Association (DSA) Tasmania – allowing him to have his first ever surf.

Assisting clients to meet their goals and live the life they choose is key at Nexus, and is what we celebrate in each of our quarterly newsletters.

Enjoying the last of the mild autumn days before winter hit, Nexus clients attended a blind and low-vision cricket game, made a day trip to the Salmon Ponds and visited the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary. Others celebrated Easter, birthdays, and one industrious young man got his drivers’ licence.

Nexus staff have also been busy attending the Glenorchy Jobs Fair where they hired new team members, and undertaking tailored training to better support the needs of their clients.

At a corporate level, Nexus are thrilled to announce the upcoming expansion of our main office site, which has been entirely redesigned to meet the needs of this growing organisation.
