We warmly congratulate the Hon. Jacquie Petrusma MP on being elected to the Parliament of Tasmania, as a Member for Franklin.

As the new Parliamentary Secretary to the Premier, Jacquie has stepped down from our Board to focus on her new role.

“This is a very, very hard decision to make, as I have thoroughly enjoyed my time on the Board, and I am so proud of the outstanding work that Nexus has achieved and will continue to achieve in the future,” Jacquie said.

On behalf of the Board, staff and clients of Nexus, we would like to thank Jacquie for her strong advocacy, commitment and support for Tasmanians living with disability.

Jacquie joined our Board in 2022 and has been passionate about ensuring best practice for both clients and staff at Nexus. Our Board benefited from her over 12 years of Parliament, Minister and State Government experience, as well as her clinical experience as a registered nurse and her varied employment experience including in the technology and Not-for-Profit sectors.

While we will miss Jacquie’s valuable contribution to the Nexus Board, we look forward to seeing Jacquie’s continued positive impact on our community in her new role, and wish her all the best for the future.
