Administration Officer People and Culture

About the Role

After an internal promotion, we are now looking for an administration professional to join our People and Culture team as we continue to expand statewide!

Working at our office in Dowsing Point, Hobart, the successful applicant will use their well-developed communication skills and effective time management strategies to perform a broad range of duties outlined below.

As Administration Officer – People and Culture your role will include:

  • Communicating with clients, employees and stakeholders in a positive and efficient manner.
  • Reception duties and customer service on a rotational basis.
  • Stock inventory, maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE) and stationery ordering.
  • Digital file maintenance and reporting of employee compliance documentation.
  • Scheduling of core training for employees.
  • Archiving of hard copy files where required to maintain document storage obligations.
  • Management of Nexus meeting rooms and scheduling to support outcomes for staff, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Administration support for human resources and recruitment
  • Minute taking for People and Culture team meetings.
  • Additional office support tasks as directed by the Manager People and Culture

About you

Our ideal candidate will have (selection criteria):

  • Well-developed written and verbal skills with an ability to communicate with a broad demographic
  • An understanding of and ongoing commitment to confidentiality and discretion in all aspects of work.
  • Experience with the Microsoft suite of products and Client Management software.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and organise own working environment.
  • A professional manner and a commitment to a positive team culture.
  • Certificate III in Business or similar or the willingness to acquire.
  • Previous experience working in the disability sector (desirable).

Working in the disability sector means you will also need the following (or ability to obtain):

  • Current National Police Check (no more than 6 months old)
  • Current Working with Vulnerable People Card (with an NDIS endorsement /employment type)
  • Unrestricted Tasmanian Driver’s license

Note: A pre-employment physical will be required for this role (including drug and alcohol testing).
